Carmen Delia Figueroa

Carmen Delia Figueroa, 73, falleció el 19 de febrero del 2021 en Oceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida. El servicio fúnebre sera llevado acabo el jueves, 25 de febrero en la Iglesia de Dios en Kissimee seguido por el sepelio en Osceola Memorial Garden en Kissimmee Carmen, cariñosamente llamada Delia, nació el 8 de marzo del 1947 en Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Su padre, quien en vida fuera, Carmelo Figueroa y Celsa Gonzalez. Sus hermanos, Gilberto Figueroa, fallecido, Eliseo Figueroa, David Figueroa y Miriam Figueroa. En el año 1970 Delia, madre soltera, llego a la ciudad de Boston, MA con sus hijos Bernabe Lopez, Aris D. Lopez, y Ada L. Lopez en busca de una mejor vida. Allí conoció y contrajo matrimonio con el Señor Miguel Ortiz y de esa unión nacieron dos hijos, Marcos A. Ortiz y Ruth Ortiz. En sus tiempos libre Delia disfrutaba de artes y oficios, crucigrama, fue una tremenda cocinera y compradora de gangas. Delia se dedico a ser ama de casa y cuidar a sus cinco hijos. Amó con ternura a cada uno de sus 18 nietos y 7 biznietos. Delia siempre sera recordada por su sonrisa contagiosa, abrazos de oso y su amor incesante. Carmen Delia Figueroa, 73, passed away on February 19, 2021 at Oceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida. Funeral service was held on Thursday, February 25 at Church of God in Kissimee followed by burial at Osceola Memorial Garden in Kissimmee. Carmen, affectionately known as Delia, was born on March 8, 1947 in Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Her parents, who in life were known as, Carmelo Figueroa and Celsa Gonzalez. Her brothers, Gilberto Figueroa, deceased, Eliseo Figueroa, David Figueroa and Miriam Figueroa. In 1970 Delia, single mother, arrived at the city of Boston, MA with her children Bernabe Lopez, Aris D. Lopez, and Ada L. Lopez in search of a better life. There she met and married Mr. Miguel Ortiz and from that union two children were born, Marcos A. Ortiz and Ruth Ortiz. In her spare time Delia enjoyed arts and crafts, crossword puzzles, was a tremendous cook and bargain shopper. Delia dedicated herself to being a housewife and taking care of her five children. She loved tenderly each of her 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Delia will always be remembered for her infectious smile, bear hugs, and relentless love.
