Ignacio Padilla

Ignacio "Nacho" Padilla, 79, of Kissimmee, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. He was the husband of Regina Padilla. Nacho was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on August 13, 1931; the son of the late Ruperto and Francisca (Guadalupe) Padilla. Nacho moved to the states at the young age of eighteen, where he started his family and met God. Throughout his life, his family was his number one priority. Serving God always remained his primary focus. Nacho enjoyed teaching the Lord's words and spending time with his family. After moving to Puerto Rico, he helped establish four churches. Nacho served the Lord as a Pastor and practiced his ministry at Iglesia de Dios in Detriot, MI. You could always count on him for good advice. Nacho had a strong personality, although not a man of many words, his actions showed the love he had for his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them to church, getting ice-cream and going to the park. He will be deeply missed by his wife of sixty-one years. Nacho is preceeded in death by two children; Ignacio Padilla Jr. and Betty Jean Padilla. He is survived by two daughters; Barbara Padilla of Kissimmee, FL and Frances Lizet DeFranco of Seattle, WA; three sons; Jose Alberto Padilla of Paterson, NJ, Richard Padilla of San Diego, CA and Emanuel Padilla of Kissimmee, FL. Nacho is also survived by Four Grandchildren of whom he raised as his own; David Ayala, Regina Ayala, Osvardo Jose Maldonado and Lissette Celiann Maldonado; Seventeen Grandchildren and Thirty-four Great-Grandchildren. There are many nieces, nephews and dear friends of whom he cared for deeply. A Viewing will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 4pm - 8pm at Funeraria Y Crematorio Porta Coeli. A service for Ignacio will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10:00am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Sara Guadalupe of Iglesia Monte Tabor officiating, with an interment to follow at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery Kissimmee, FL.
