Maria L. Ramos

Maria L. Ramos (Daisy Santiago), age 67, loving mother of four, and adoring wife to Angel C. Ramos passed away on August 10th, 2024 after a long fought courageous battle of Pericardial/Pericardium Adenocarcinoma Lung Cancer. Maria was born on October 13th, 1956, in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Kenosha, WI; surrounded by her family of six siblings. Maria was influenced by her family to be a Respectful, Loving and Caring women, always giving her time and attention to others, she exemplified those qualities in her Motherhood. She met her husband Angel C. Ramos in 1974 and married in October 1975. As a mother she was always encouraging, supportive, generous, loving, kind and firm when needed. When the grandchildren arrived, she was absolutely thrilled about the family growing, to give more love and hear the laughter’s of joy. She loved her coffee, cooking, gardening, dancing, concerts and assisted in United Way Fund Raisers. Maria graduated from Tremper Sr. High School and continued her education through the years at Gateway Community College, Marquette University, University of Parkside, receiving her Associate Degree in Business. Maria always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Family was number one among all her accomplishments. Maria is survived by her husband Angel C. Ramos, and children Cassandra L. Rego, Miguel A. Ramos (Wanda), Angel N. Ramos, Marianela L. Ramos, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. So proud of all of them. Maria is preceded in death by her mother Maria Brunilda Santiago (2019), Her Sister’s Haydee and Miriam Santiago (1971). Please wear colorful attire like a bouquet of flowers requested by Maria’s family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at Porta Coeli Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory on the same day at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida, followed by burial at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee, Florida.
