VELEZ, 80, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2021, she left to meet the Lord; she was surrounded by her family. Rosita was born December 26, 1940, in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic. Rosa is survived by: Her two sons, Rafael, and Alejandro; her grandkids Kenneth, Christopher, Emely, Melissa, Gregory, and Brice; her step grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, her sisters Isabel, Emma, and Nuris; and her brothers Diogenes and Fernando; and all her cousins and friends. Rosa was a very humbled and grateful person, Rosita as she was known loved to travel as much as she loved family gatherings. As a Catholic woman she always attended Mass, read the bible, and recited the Rosary daily. Rosa belonged to the Catholic Order of Catequista in San Miguel Catholic Church in Providence, RI. She was known mostly for caring for those less fortunate than she was, opening her home and heart to those in need and treating them as her own. They all describe her as being kind and loving. Rosa is most known for loving her two sons Rafael and Alejandro unconditionally, Rosa leaves us to join our Lord, her mother, father, sister, and beloved husband Augusto Velez in heaven. The family will welcome Rosa’s friends on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, starting at 5:00pm thru 9:00pm at Porta Coeli Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida. The religious services are scheduled for Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 11:00am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and will be followed by the burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. No he muerto, solo me fui antes. ROSA E. VELEZ, 80, falleció el domingo 18 de junio de 2021, se fue al encuentro del Señor; estaba rodeada de su familia. Rosita nació el 26 de diciembre de 1940 en Monte Plata, República Dominicana. Rosa le sobreviven: Sus dos hijos, Rafael y Alejandro; sus nietos Kenneth, Christopher, Emely, Melissa, Gregory y Brice; sus nietos, sus sobrinas y sobrinos, sus hermanas Isabel, Emma y Nuris; y sus hermanos Diógenes y Fernando; y todos sus primos y amigos. Rosa era una persona muy humilde y agradecisa, a Rosita, como la conocían, le encantaba Viajar tanto con las reuniones familiares. Como mujer católica, siempre asistía a misa, leía la Biblia y rezaba el Rosario todos los días. Rosa pertenecía a la Orden Católica Catequista en la Iglesia Católica San Miguel en Providence, RI. Era conocida principalmente por cuidar a los menos afortunados que ella, por abrir su hogar y su corazón a los necesitados y tratarlos como si fueran sus hijos. Todo las describen como amable y cariñosa. Pero, mas que nada Rosa es conocida por amor incondicionalmente a sus hijos. La familia dará la bienvenida a los amigos de Rosa el miércoles 30 de junio de 2021, a partir de las 5:00 pm hasta las 9:00 pm en la Funeraria Porta Coeli en Kissimmee, Florida. Los servicios religiosos están programados para el jueves 1 de julio de 2021, a las 11:00 am en la Iglesia Católica Del Santo Redentor, y serán seguidos por el entierro en el Cementerio Rose Hill.
