Castida Soto

May 30, 1934 - January 19, 2022

Castida Soto died on January 19th, 2022 peacefully in her home in Orlando Florida. She was born in Utuado Puerto Rico to Flora Pabon and Jose Santiago on May 30, 1934. She moved to Patterson New Jersey in 1965 where she met Jose R Soto and married on May 8, 1966 in Patterson, New Jersey. She moved to Newark New Jersey and lived there for over 20 years. She was a home maker most of her life. She also worked independently for many years as an Avon consultant and a Stanley Home Sales Representative. She also enjoyed devoting her time and was involved with Miles of Help Through Christ ministries to help feed the homeless. Castida loved being a mother and grandmother and loved cooking for and spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. Castida Soto is survived by her husband; Jose R. Soto,; 2 children Noemi Soto and Raul Soto, grandchildren Desire Huertas, Denise Huertas, Dynahlee Soto, Veronica E. Soto, Raul R. Soto; great grandchildren, jayden Z. Rivera, Leandro I. Rivera, Ylanis N Garcia. Sisters Claudina Santiago, Laureana Santiago, Josefina Santiago, Nereida Santiago; brothers Miguel Santiago, Luis Santiago, Julio Santiago. Castida was preceded in death by her parents Flora Pabon and Jose Santiago; Sisters and brothers; Pedro Santiago, Jonny Santiago, Francisco Santiago, Antonio Santiago, Gilberto Santiago, Anna Santiago, Consuelo Santiago, Alberto Santiago, Rosa Santiago, Santos Santiago, Guillermina Santiago.
