Gladys Alicia Rabassa De Franco

Gladys Alicia Rabassa De Franco, 55 of Lakeland, Florida went home to be with our Lord on October 14, 2015 in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was born on April 12, 1960 to Jose Eustaquio Rabassa and Adelaida Vazquez in Coamo, Puerto Rico. In 1986 after her husband retired from the United States Army, Gladys and Henry Franco relocated to Bayamon, Puerto Rico to raise their family. She worked at a Dry Cleaner before she worked as a Sales Representative for Adelphia in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. In 1999 Gladys and Franco relocated to Oak Grove, Kentucky and after 5 years they moved to Clarksville, Tennessee. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Clarksville, were she enjoyed teaching catechism of the First Communion Sacrament. Gladys and Franco helped the Hispanic community of Clarksville and the surrounding areas. In 2009 Gladys and Franco relocated to Lakeland, Florida. She was a Member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church of Lakeland, were they also enjoyed helping the Hispanic community. Gladys was a kind person that enjoyed helping others; she was like a mother to a lot of children wherever she went. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Jose E. Rabassa and Adelaida Vazquez and her brother Victor Alejandro Rabassa Vazquez. She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years Henry Franco; sons, Henry Leonardo Franco Rabassa and his wife Guivioli Garcia of Coamo, Puerto Rico; Harry Franco Rabassa and his wife Jill Franco of Waynesville, Missouri; daughters, Elizabeth Franco Rabassa and her fiancé Roberto Carlos Lopez of Kissimmee, Florida; Glorie Marie Franco Rabassa and her husband Craig Brennan of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Crystal Marie Franco Colon of Clarksville, Tennessee; Heidy Franco Colon of Nashville, Tennessee; Carla Naomi Franco Collazo of Waynesville, Missouri; Kathya Marie Franco Colon of Clarksville, Tennessee; Henry Alberto Soto Franco of Clarksville, Tennessee; Henry Emanuel Franco Garcia of Coamo, Puerto Rico; Elianne Naiomy Molina Franco of Kissimmee, Florida; Harry Franco Collazo of Waynesville, Missouri; Javier Ivan Molina Franco of Kissimmee, Florida; Tristan Alexander Soto Franco of Clarksville, Tennessee; Kiara Marie Boria Franco of Clarksville, Tennessee; Alondra Paola Franco Garcia of Coamo, Puerto Rico; Gladymar Molina Franco of Kissimmee, Florida; and Jacob Jose Franco of Waynesville, Missouri; adopted grandchildren, Hector Alejandro Serrano, Elijah Malik Lopez, Jailyn Lopez and Dominic Lopez, Nathaly Garcia, Kenneth Garcia; brothers, Angel Rabassa of Coamo, Puerto Rico; Carlos Eduardo Rabassa of Riverview, Florida; sisters; Carmen Rabassa of Coamo, Puerto Rico; Carmen Garin Rabassa of Coamo, Puerto Rico; Edda Rabassa of Lorain, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family and friends. She will be missed by everyone.
