Isabel Quijano, 88, died Friday, February 25, 2022, peacefully in her home in Kissimmee, Florida with a dear family friend and dedicated caretaker, Wilma Colon, by her side. Isabel lovingly referred to Wilma as her daughter. Born on July 12,1933 in el Barrio Palmarejo Corozal, Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by her parents Fundadora Rivera, and Serafin Molina. Isabel was one of thirteen children born from this union. During her teenage years, she moved to the Bronx where she graduated from Beauty School. She worked in manufacturing ladies accessories and purses. Isabel was a committed wife and mother who had a passion for music & dancing. She often would say, “dancing is my medicine”. In addition, Isabel enjoyed outings with her loving husband, Ismael. Together they shared romantic seafood dinners by the water. She was born a natural beauty who always thrived to look her best. Isabel would light up the room with her fabulous smile. She was loving and generous towards her family & friends. Isabel & Ismael were married for 56 years. They had three children: daughter, Magaly (predeceased); son Walter Quijano (predeceased); and survived by her son Ismael Quijano Jr. She was proud of Ismael Jr. ‘s academic excellence, achievements, and career as an engineer. They had a love for cats, movies, and dinner dates. She is survived by her loving sisters: Delores (Lole) Sanz, Ana Maisonave, and Ines Roldan. She shared a special, loving bond and dedicated relationship with her Goddaughter & niece Lisette Roldan-Hart. She is also survived by loving family members which include her grandson, Jason Erik Lewis; nieces & nephews in Puerto Rico, Bronx, & Florida.
