Juan Jose Arevalo

Juan José Arévalo, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away unexpectedly in his home on January 12, 2022. He was 62 years old. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 44 years, Gertrudis Arevalo, his two children Karen (Hugo) and Omar (Corina), four grandchildren, Janessa, Manny, Yasalin, and Hector, sister-in-law, Dora, nephew, Alex, as well as numerous extended family and friends. Originally from El Salvador, Juan emigrated to California to better provide for his family and eventually settled in Florida. He will be remembered as a faithful, hard working, joyous, generous, caring, and loving man. His absolutely favorite thing was spending time with his family, and he left behind the most amazing memories that will be cherished forever. He was a gifted guitar player who loved playing and singing in the church choir at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church. He enjoyed cooking and would always make a feast for family gatherings. Juan loved and owned many animals, he was especially fond of all his horses. He was a monumental part of our lives and even though he will be dearly missed, his love will live in our hearts forever. Dear Heavenly Father, we will never be able to thank you enough for giving us the most amazing dad. Thank you for all the years that we enjoyed with him. We are grateful for the joyous times we had with him and the wonderful memories we will always have. Now that he is at rest with You, we are grateful for the hope of a future where we will all join together again. Father, please give us peace and help us in all ways through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Porta Coeli Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida. On Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 am a funeral mass will be celebrated for the eternal rest of his soul at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Kissimmee, Florida, and he will be laid to rest on at 2:15 pm at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee, Florida.
